The Faculty of Arts and Languages has become one of the eight colleges at the University of Adrar under Executive Decree No. 389/22 dated November 21, 2022.
On December 27, 2012, a decision was issued to establish the departments of the college: the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, the Department of English Language and Literature, and the Department of French Language and Literature.
In these three departments, 86 professors are responsible for teaching and supervising 1,423 students for the Bachelor’s degree and 755 students for the Master’s degree.
In order to establish a strong academic and scientific foundation for students, the college has allocated three research laboratories: the Manuscripts Laboratory, the Desert Space Laboratory, and the Language, Discourse, and Linguistic Diversity Laboratory.
